Our years of experience with film production – and the film industry in general – makes us world leaders with a unique skill set.
We function as an independent third party, whose goal is to ensure that production projects are completed as planned. Our in-depth and international familiarity with the film industry has given us a unique understanding of all the various conditions that apply to a film production.
Film Finances Scandinavia
The team at Film Finances Scandinavia has an extensive experience of film production. Our Stockholm offices opened in 2011 and since its start we have issued more than 30 completion bonds for film and TV on the Scandinavian market.

It began in London
Film Finances Ltd was formed in the UK in 1950 with the ambition to provide completion guarantees for film financiers. Film producers had gradually found it increasingly difficult to borrow money for their film productions through the bank. The films themselves were no longer security enough for the banks and their financiers. Film Finance's founders were film producers forced to pledge personal property to cover budget overlays. The company was formed to offer financiers, banks and distributors an insurance policy that guaranteed that the film would be delivered on time and any budget overlays would not be charged to the financiers.
Film Finances currently issues around 250 completion guarantees per year and has since its inception in 1950 issued completion bonds for over 6,000 projects worldwide, giving us a special position in the industry. Film Finances currently has representatives and offices in Australia, England, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, Germany and the United States. Film Finance's headquarters are located in Los Angeles.
